Some of my friends are somewhat mad because I didn't tell them I was off to China for ten days. If you think I told everyone and didn't tell you, see for yourself some chat messages I got when I logged in from my trip. So Nicky and Lisa (who called me in shock when found out I hadn't told her I was in her city), here's proof! (God, not even Jesulina knew! now that I think of it... you have your reasons!)

It was 10 days, 7 flights
Flight #1 = 3:30hours
Flight #2 = 16 hours
Flight #3 = 3 hours
Flight #4 = 2 hours
Flight #5 = 4 hours
Flight #6 =16 hours
Flight #7 = 3:30 hours

The welcome didn't come up short: our drive back from the aiport was my family just listening to the beatles full volume, courtesy of my brother=) and the welcoming lunch consisted on moro/concon + aguacate + mom's spaghettis + arepitas + batata + salad + bread + lemon juice...

Feels great to be back home, the more I travel, the more I like living in the Dominican Republic. Sure NY is great, HK a dream, but there's nothing like our food, weather, sense of humor, and the domincan take on life. We may not feel it while we live here (our mood constantly stained by black-outs, disorganized transit, broken laws, et cetera), but as most things in life, you can only appreciate them fully when they are gone.
